Update: June 2026

The Council gave notice to the owners of #19 and #21 Connaught Street on 27/11/17 that they intended to enter the site onto the Derelict Sites Register. The owners then had a period of time to make representations to the Council, and the Council decided on 23/03/18 to enter the sites onto the Derelict Sites Register. 

The Council gave notice of their intention to acquire both sites on 11/10/18, and notice of making a vesting order on 26/07/19, which led to the Council acquiring the sites on 19/08/19.

The sites were each valued at €325,000 on 19/08/19. The sites were vested on 03/10/23.

Structural Temporary Works Designer assigned; Temp Works Building Contractor identified.Architectural Led Design Team simultaneously working on detailed design pack (to allow for partial demolishment & rebuild).Construction Contractor to be publicly procured via eTenders once Tender document pack complete (incl.
