The next phase of Dublin’s network redesign is expected to happen in late October. This phase will result in changes to the 9, 40, 83, and 140 routes in the Phibsborough and Glasnevin area.
The 40 and 140 routes will be replaced by the new F1, F2 and F3 routes serving Charlestown, Finglas, Whitworth Road, City Centre and onwards to Kimmage, Tallaght and the southwest of the city. The F1 and F2 routes will operate 24hrs adding to the existing 24hr E1 and E2 routes in the Phibsborough and Glasnevin area.
The 9 and 83 routes will be replaced by the new 23 and 24 routes serving Charlestown, Finglas East, Ballygall, Glasnevin Hill, Botanic Road, Phibsborough Road, Church Street, Dame Street, George’s Street and Merrion Square. The 24 bus will also provide a direct service to Dublin Airport via Charlestown.
More information on the new routes can be found on busconnects.ie. The National Transport Authority will distribute leaflets to homes with detailed information prior to the changes.
