Update: 8 April 2025
The redevelopment of Dalymount Park was granted Part 8 Planning Permission in February. At this point Dublin City Council were unable to proceed any further until funding was
secured to take the project to the next stage. In November 2024 the project was provisionally allocated €24.6 million from the Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund.
Dublin City Council have recently re-engaged the architect-led integrated design team to complete the detailed design and prepare the relevant tender documents.
The overall cost of the project is estimated to be €55 million so there remains a significant shortfall in funding. Dublin City Council are currently examining a number of options in regard to this. Once site works commences, the construction of the new stadium will take approximately 24 months.
