New Luas timetable with increased services

Great news for Luas commuters!

On Tuesday 3rd June, Transport Infrastructure Ireland is changing the Luas timetable to add more services. Please be patient with Luas staff while this new timetable is bedding in and send on any feedback to Luas customer services.

This service expansion has been in planning since early 2024 and additional funding was made available to recruit more drivers, engineers and security staff to make it happen.

Green Line

There will be more trams leaving Broombridge in the morning peak serving Cabra, Phibsborough, Grangegorman and Broadstone.

There will be more trams leaving Bride’s Glen in the morning peak serving Cherrywood, Carrickmines and Leopardstown.

On Sundays there’s going to be an overall 10% increase in services on the Green Line.

Red Line

There’s going to be an 18% increase in services on Saturdays and a 17% increase in services on Sundays on the Red Line. There’s also going to be a small 4% increase in services during the weekdays.

If you’ve ever taken the Red Line on weekends, you’ll know how packed it is especially when there are events on in the city. This should help alleviate that overcrowding.
