Dublin City Council is drawing up a masterplan for the regeneration of 77 hectares of land between Glasnevin, Cabra and Finglas.

The land is adjacent to a rail line that’s being upgraded to DART, a Luas line, a BusConnects corridor and the Royal Canal Greenway. The draft masterplan has areas reserved for schools, parks, business/industrial and up to 6,000 homes.

There is a public consultation happening now and Dublin City Council wants to hear your views on the draft masterplan. I’m particularly keen to hear people’s views on how to preserve as much of the existing local businesses as possible while also enabling the delivery of much-needed new homes.
