Dublin City Council’s Parks Department has begun works on upgrading the playground at Royal Canal Bank Park in Broadstone. The works should be finished by June 2025 and the playground will be reopened. Access to the remaining sections of the park should be retained through works.

According to the Dublin City Council Parks Department:

“The new playground’s theme is connected to the Royal Canal’s rich historical heritage. It will include a new feature play ship and new natural play areas for children of all ages to enjoy. The play space will be open and inclusive, tactile and beautiful.”
