Dublin City Council has said that they will go to tender for a company to provide and maintain bike bunkers in Dublin city. It’s expected that procurement will begin in Q1 2024 and the target is to have 300 bike bunkers installed by 2024.

This is a very important project to encourage cycling in areas with large numbers of apartments and terraced houses. The project began as a trial several years ago but stalled in recent years despite their huge popularity and demand. It’s great to finally see it back on track.
